To hold this event we need to raise about $4,000 to cover expected costs.

• Celebrate the improvements made to the Opawaho Heathcote river
• Promote organisations in the local area involved in restoring the river and local reserves including Mt Vernon park

In 2010, over 100 rafts entered, drawing hundreds of spectators. With the 2026 revival, we expect similar numbers.

How Donations Will Be Used

• Safety & logistics ( traffic management, first aid, river quality monitoring, event insurance, advertising)
• Event infrastructure (marquee hire, signage, waste management, entertainment stage)
• Community activities (free BBQ, information stalls advertising local charitable groups)
• Environmental care (riverbank planting & clean-up support)
